Sprite is a caffeine-free lemon-lime soft drink, the kind called lemonade in the UK and Australia. The US version has 140 kcal (586 kJ) per 12 fl oz (355 ml) can, all from 38 g of sugar, with no fat or protein. The recipe differs sharply between countries, so where you buy it matters more than for most branded drinks.

  • Per 100 ml the US version is about 39 kcal and 10.7 g of sugar, almost identical to regular Coca-Cola.
  • Sprite contains no caffeine, which is why it is often chosen over cola late in the day.
  • Sprite Zero Sugar uses sweeteners only and is effectively calorie-free.
